El Sobrante Road Resurfacing Project – Construction Update

 

🚧 Upcoming Traffic Impacts – Week of January 26, 2026 🚧

 

Nighttime lane closures continue through mid-February on El Sobrante Road. In addition, a two-week road closure is scheduled to begin Saturday, February 7.

 

Traffic Impacts

• Nighttime lane closures:

7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through mid-February

El Sobrante Rd. from Cajalco Rd. to one mile east of McAllister St.

Traffic flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

 

• 2-week road closure:

February 7–21 | Daily work hours: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

El Sobrante Rd. will be closed between La Sierra Ave. and Willow Dr.

– Victoria Grove neighborhood access via Blackburn Rd. or westbound El Sobrante Ave. to Willow Dr.

– Trucks and non-residential motorists must use the posted detour on La Sierra Ave. to Cajalco Rd.

 

What to Expect

• Construction noise and temporary nighttime lighting until 10 p.m.

• Delays in and around the project area; please allow extra travel time.
