Hamner Ave Bridge Replacement

The new Berwin Hanna Bridge on Hamner Avenue over the Santa Ana River will be 1,200-feet long and features structural, seismic and hydraulic state-of-the art design.
The newly constructed bridge will include a four-foot-wide median and shoulders along with a new, 12-foot-wide, separated multi-purpose trail on the east side of the bridge. This much-needed trail will provide pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians a safe route across the bridge and access to the regional Santa Ana River trail.

Jurupa Grade Separation

This project will construct a new, four-lane underpass on Jurupa Road under Van Buren Boulevard and the Union Pacific Railroad bridge. The underpass will improve safety and traffic circulation by separating train traffic from vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. It will also improve the quality of life for Jurupa Valley residents by eliminating waiting for trains, train whistles and pollution from idling vehicles.

Gilman Springs Road Shoulder and Median Widening Project

On September 9, 2024, the County of Riverside Transportation Department began a safety improvement project on approximately 4 miles of Gilman Springs Rd. from 1.7 miles south of Alessandro Blvd. to approximately 1 mile south of Bridge St.
